Wishing you all the best and hope that you will continue on. I began to listen to old radio programs some four to five years ago after my health had declined to the point where I didn’t have the stamina to watch a monitor/TV screen. I began to collect programs and investigating their history, and noted numerous conflicts in dates and names (I presume you are aware of Digital Deli Too’s excellent work:

I really appreciate the mix you provide – it adds another layer of interest that keeps the material very much alive and fresh.

I do try for diversity with a set attitude to it and try not to go too far astray. Although, sometimes I am tempted. But it is called “NightTransmissions” not “Some Random Old Crap”.

Hai Gary! I just discovered your collections a few days ago. I’m listening – and have just heard on episode 13 that you enjoy feedback from us.

WELL, I LIKE!

I like the way you build up a two-hour set of programs. I appreciate the diversity that helps make the experience more attractive than just listening to the “Suspense” archives from 1 to 100, for example.

Again, thanks Anthony. I have already scheduled repeats of the show to go through September. It is currently my intention to pick up again after that. That I am most likely going to do this is entirely due to a handful of folks like you and your encouragement.

Hi Gary, I check the site every day hoping you have not given up. You are now as much a part of radio as Himan Brown but, we know little about you. We need a Gary Clinton focus episode (a mono log ) that would satisfy our curiosity. Your are missed. Hope all is well. People you do not know are thinking and praying for your health and happiness. “Until next time” this is hoping that night transmissions will continue.

I’m sorry Lewis to have been so tardy in responding to this. But for some reason the system here at WordPress mistook your comment for spam. Obviously it took a while for me to notice that it had been categorized that way. And I only really saw it tonight.

Thanks for your encouragement, it does really matter to me and has an impact. I find myself thinking more and more that I will take most of September off and come back in October with new programs.

These shows are an essential part of our heritage, and I want to thank you for preserving them, curating them, and presenting them in this medium.

My health is reasonably good. It isn’t that. Maybe that I just need a few weeks away from NightTransmissions after 105 shows and slightly over two years. I’ll continue to post repeats for two or three weeks. And then see how I feel about it.

Thanks for your input, sometimes they do forget that actual people are actually listening.

Maybe I will take your advice and take a few weeks off. I guess I may just be getting a little burned out. I know two hours a week isn’t much, but you’d be surprised how much time it actually takes. I certainly was.

Not that it’s any huge burden, it’s not.
